Welcome to our Webpage.
Our Club has been in existence for some 30 years, it is friendly, informal and a great place to learn about Machine Knitting. We share resources and knowledge, whether it be a small amount of a special coloured yarn or a spare bit for a machine there is usually someone who can supply the required item or who knows where to get it!
The fortnightly meetings are made up of problem solving, demonstrations, and exchanging ideas over tea/coffee and cakes. The topics we cover range from the very basics to the more advanced techniques and everything in between.
Members have the opportunity of submitting the results of their knitting labours in our Annual Competition, this is a light hearted, non compulsory event much enjoyed by all, the winners are normally rewarded with Easter Eggs as this evening takes place around Easter time.
During the year we have two social nights out - these usually take the form of a meal at one of the many good pubs in the Cambridge area.
Some of our members are happy to act as 'Knitting Buddies' and will give advice over the telephone others are happy to give personal tuition.
We meet on alternate Wednesday evenings (Term Time) 7.30 - 9.30 at Netherhall School, Queen Ediths Way, Cambridge.
